Dairy Crest recognised by Financial Times for delivering on environmental and community pledges
January 30, 2014Dairy Crest this week published its Corporate Responsibility report 2013/14, showing the progress being made on delivering against the company's 40 corporate responsibility pledges. Some key figures from the report:
- Dairy Crest has achieved a carbon equivalent reduction of 22.4%
- Since 2007 water usage has been reduced by 15.7%
- Last year, less than 8% of waste went to landfill

Dairy Crest is delighted to announce that the strong progress they have made over the last year has been recognised with a prestigious nomination for The Financial Times Corporate Responsibility Company of the Year Award 2014, sponsored by ArcelorMittal. The award is given to the company that has "exemplified boldness in their business activities throughout the year", has "provided a social and environmental legacy, is an example of good practice that others can follow" and "has delivered value to shareholders".
