Dairy Crest Group plc ('Dairy Crest'), the leading UK-owned dairy foods company, is today announcing that it has successfully completed the sale of its depot-based milk delivery business in the North West to Creamline Dairies Limited for £1.15 million.

As detailed in its announcement on 2 July, the sale further reduces Dairy Crest's exposure to the 'middle ground' milk market.

Commenting on the sale, Mark Allen, Chief Executive of Dairy Crest said:

"We reported at our AGM earlier this month that the profitability of our dairies business continues to improve towards our 3% medium-term target. The sale of our North West depot-based delivery business is another step on this journey."
