Dairy Crest announces milk price for April 2018

Dairy Crest today announces that it will increase the milk price it pays to its Davidstow farmers by 1.75ppl* to 30.4ppl from 1st August 2018. This has been agreed with Dairy Crest Direct.

“I am pleased to be announcing a further increase in our milk price for August following the uplift already reported for July,” commented Chris Thomson, Group Procurement Director at Dairy Crest.

“The price increases totalling 2.4ppl to be paid over the next two months confirm our commitment to pay a leading milk price to our supplying farmers.”

DCD Chairman, Steve Bone, said:

“We are pleased with the significant price increase that we agreed with Dairy Crest after positive negotiations, based on the strong market position."
